Roger D. Spickler passed away peacefully on December 06, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on August 13, 1942, in Mechanicville, New York, Roger was the son of the late Chester S. Spickler and Anna (Grozzo) Spickler. His warm smile and generous spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Roger's early years were spent in the small town of Mechanicville, NY. Later, moving to South Bend he attended Central High School. His time at Central High was marked by a burgeoning love for sports, particularly baseball, a passion that would stay with him throughout his life. After graduation, Roger channeled his entrepreneurial spirit into the creation of RDS Service, a business that not only thrived under his leadership but also served as a testament to his dedication and hard work.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Roger's life was filled with simple joys and pleasures. He was an avid sports fan, with a particular affinity for baseball. Many an afternoon was spent cheering on his favorite teams, a pastime that brought him immense happiness. His love for the game was infectious, and he could often be found engaging in lively discussions about the latest match or sharing fond memories of games past.
Roger's gentle nature extended to all creatures, but none more so than his beloved cat, Ripley. Ripley was more than a pet; he was a companion and a cherished member of Roger's family.
