Millicent "Mitzi" (Samarich) Rickhoff

December 16, 1943 ~ November 10, 2025 (age 81)

Millicent “Mitzi” Rickhoff, residing in South Bend, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2025 in her home.  She was 81 years old.

She was born December 16, 1943 in South Bend, a daughter of the late Branko & Doris (Vaskovich) Samarich, and has remained a lifelong resident of this community, except for 25 years that she lived in Chicago.

She retired in 2014 as a Legal Assistant for Baker & Daniels.  Prior to that, she was employed from 1981-1993 as Executive Assistant to the Chairman of the Board and CEO of AM International Inc., and from 1994-1998 as Executive Assistant to the President & CEO at Grand Eagle Companies, both in Chicago.

She is survived by her beloved niece Angela Samarich, and sister, Sally Sprong of West Lafayette, IN, along with numerous other nieces and nephews and close friends in the South Bend-Elkhart area.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Judy DeDonato, and two brothers, Millard “Sam” Samarich, and John Samarich.

According to Mitzi’s wishes, there will be no services.  She will be laid to rest at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.  The Palmer Funeral Home-Bubb Chapel, Mishawaka is assisting the family with arrangements.
