Don Lee Riffle

June 16, 1937 – Nov. 5, 2004

Don Lee Riffle, 67, of West 14th Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away unexpectedly at 3:52 a.m.Friday, Nov.5, in his home. Don was born on June 16, 1937, in South Bend, Ind., to John and Helen (Washburn) Riffle. On Dec.23, 1989, in Cassopolis, Mich., he married the former Marti Miller-Karnes.

He is survived by his wife, Marti; three daughters, Lisa Scutchfield of Edwardsburg, Mich., Donna (Terry) Robichaud of Milford, Ohio, and Tina (Joe) Mott of Osceola, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Marcy (Steve) Benjamin of Dowagiac, Mich.; a stepson, Bill Karnes of Indianapolis, Ind.; six grandchildren, Mindy and Samantha Robichaud, Stephanie and Danielle Mott, David and Michael Benjamin; and a brother, Jerry (Nancy) Riffle of Syracuse, Ind.

Don was a retired meat cutter. He had worked at Martins, Meijers and A&P, plus he owned his own tax business. He attended Central High School, and he would go out of his way to help people in need. He was a past administrator at the Mishawaka Moose Lodge #1262 where he served as a fellow.

Family and friends may visit from 2 to 5 p.m.today, Nov. 7th, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W.8th St., Mishawaka.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m.Monday, Nov. 8th, in the funeral home, with Rev Bill Schooler officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Contributions may be made in memory of Don to the Moose Heart Foundation
