Ronald “Pepo” Kwiecinski, 86, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, in his home.  Ronald was born on December 16, 1939 in South Bend, Indiana to Martin and Alice (Kaczmarek) Kwiecinski and was a lifelong resident.  

Ronald was a 1956 graduate of South Bend Central High School and received a degree from the South Bend College of Commerce.  He retired in 2005 from the South Bend Community School Corporation where he was employed as an Accountant for 15 years. 

Ronald was a huge Notre Dame, Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan.  He had a gift for remembering dates and sports statistics.  He also had the unique Kwiecinski sense of humor that endeared him to family and friends.   

On May 2, 1964 in St. Adalbert Church he married Barbara Ziolkowski, who survives.  Ronald is also survived by his daughter, Janet (Brian) Wroblewski of South Bend, Indiana; his son, Philip Kwiecinski of South Bend, Indiana; three grandsons, Jordan (Ashley White) Wroblewski, Joshua Wroblewski and Jacob Wroblewski; two great-grandchildren, Melody and Lyrik Wroblewski; and by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.  Ronald was preceded in death by six sisters, Margaret Kwiecinski, Christine (Bernie) Banicki, Zenobia (Ray) Krych, Delores Kwiecinski, Lorraine (Ervin) Wroblewski, and Arlene (Pete) Spitz; and three brothers, Larry (Ann) Kwiecinski, Ed (Millie) Kwiecinski and Marvin (Mary Ann) Kwiecinski. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2025 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.  A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Saturday in the Church.  

Ronald was a member of M.R. Falcons Nest #4 for over 50 years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be directed to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or the Center for Hospice Care, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, Indiana 46545.

Kaniewski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
