Irene Catherine (Huston) Hudak

Irene Catherine Hudak, a gentle soul and beloved mother, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2023, in Mishawaka, Indiana. Irene was born on June 1, 1938, in South Bend, Indiana.

Irene was the cherished daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Glen Alva Huston Sr. She was a proud graduate of Central High School, where she cultivated her love for learning and developed lifelong friendships. She later retired at the age of 78 in 2016. Irene had a love for all animals, especially the deer that would come visit daily.

She was the loving wife of the late Robert John Hudak, with whom she shared many beautiful years of marriage. Together, they raised three wonderful daughters, Karyn (David) Batdorf, Kim Strong, and the late Kristi Hudak. Was blessed with two grandchildren, Nick Batdorf (Becky), and Jackie Treakle, also a great-grandchild Alani Champer. Irene's love for her family was immeasurable, and she was a constant source of support and inspiration to them. Irene was also predeceased by her brother, Glenn Huston Jr.

Keeping with Irene’s wishes there will be a graveside service at 11 am, Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Rescue Release Repeat at Rescuereleaserepeat.org/donate and to Center for Hospice Care – Raclin House 501 Comfort Place Mishawaka, In 46545.
