SOUTH BEND - Fletcher Clay Surratt, age 71, of South Bend, IN, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017, at his home. Fletcher retired from Dodge Manufacturing. He was an avid walker who loved to play cards.

Fletcher was born October 24, 1945, in Bell City, MO, to Henry Clay and Mary Ella (Johnson) Surratt. He is survived by sister, Addie Kennedy of Grand Rapids, MI, sister, Barbara Surratt of South Bend, and brother, Reginald Surratt of South Bend, uncle, Firdia Johnson, special friend, Vicky Campbell, and many nieces, nephews, cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary, brother, Larry, sisters, Althama and Louella.

Graveside services for Fletcher will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Southlawn Cemetery. Palmer Funeral Home River Park, is assisting the family. Condolences for the Surratt family may be given at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
