Sharon "Katy" Bullock, was born in Lebanon, IN on Jan 8th. 1947 - September 8th, 2024. It is not the dates that are important but what you accomplish between them. Sharon made every day count and did not let her leukemia ever get in the way of leading an exciting, productive and rewarding life for 77 years. She will be organizing heaven into bridge groups, dinner parties and exotic travel. She fought the good fight for almost 30 years, without disclosing her blood disease to only her closest friends. In 1995 she was diagnosed with"PV" and given 15 years to live. The oncologist said not to worry, for a cure for leukemia might be found. In 2010, a miracle drug helped make excellent red blood cells for her and extended her life for another 14 adventures years.
After graduating from South Bend Central High school in 1965. She married Steve Little and began her family. In 1969, Katy and Steve welcomed the birth of their first child, a daughter Jodi and a year later a son, Ross. Katy was active in the local South Bend community both socially and professionally. She became the booker keeper for Anchor Real Estate and subsequently for the Village Inn Pizza Restaurants. Later she received her Indiana real estate Broker's license.
After moving to Atlanta 1983, her hands on management style caught the attention of the Coldwell Banker Company and she graduated from their national management school. Katy now was a regional property manager in charge of over 2 million square feet of commercial and Investment properties in Atlanta.
In 1984 Katy moved to Daytona Beach to manage the Kress building and later took a sales position was with the LeCesse Company. Before moving to Scottsdale, AZ. she was appointed the property manager for Countryside in Port Orange, FL. In March of 1989 she married Donald Bullock in a Ormond Beach seaside ceremony. Wherever she lived she made lots of friends and got to travel to over 60 countries. Always enjoying her hobbies of playing bridge, photography, traveling, Clay Akien concerts, scuba diving, boating, and Facebook. She found time to receive a Florida salesmen, appraiser and Community Association Mangers license to go with her Florida life and health license and NSAD series 6 license.
Katy was committed to building connections through social and charitable activities. Her memberships included: Halifax River Yacht Club, Commodears, Tillansia Garden Club, Ponce Inlet Code Enforcement Board. Associated Realty of the Americas, National Association of Realtors, My Lady Butterfly Guild (Red Hat Society), Seminole Spokes, Seminole County State's Attorney Domestic Violence Volunteers, and docent for Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and, National Inclusion Project (kids with disabilities, Daytona Beach Realtor Association, and various Community Committees.
Godspeed Katy on your last journey. We look forward to seeing you when we meet again! Thanks for sharing your life with so many. Truly you enjoyed a life well lived and loved!
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 35 years, Don; her mother Hilda Jean Rahlf, Port Orange; Children, Jodi Little, Edwardsburg, MI, and Ross Little, Port Orange, FL; Step Children, Stewart Andrew Bullock, PhD, South Bend, IN and Duncan Scott Bullock, Bloomington, IN; Grandchildren, Stephen Mclean, Ft. Piere, FL, Eleanor Bullock and James Bullock, South Bend, IN, Teagen Bullock, Evan Bullock, Gavin Bullock and Adalyne Bullock, Bloomington, IN
In lieu of other remembrances, the family suggest donations be made to the Harper Cancer Institute, Notre Dame, IN or the Leukemia Society.
