BOCA RATON, FL - Mickey P. Maros, 59, of Boca Raton, Florida, died unexpectedly in his sleep on Wednesday, Aug. 8th.
He was a local businessman in Boca Raton. He attended Indiana University and discovered a deep love for the school and community. He continued to serve his much adored school by becoming an active participant in the alumni association. In 1981 he moved to Florida where he developed and successfully operated a chain of McDonald's restaurants. Most recently, he served as the Director of Executive Programs at Florida Atlantic University. His passion for life stemmed from his undying faith in religion. He was an active member of St. Mark Greek Orthodox Church in Boca Raton.
He is survived by his beloved daughters, Michelle, 21, and Jessica, 16. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday in St. Mark Greek Orthodox Church, Boca Raton. A visitation was held on Sunday in Babione Funeral Home, East Chapel. Burial will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Valhalla Memory Gardens, Bloomington, IN.
In lieu of flowers, please send all donations to the All Saints Orthodox Christian Church or to the Indiana University Alumni Association. Babione Funeral Home, Boca Raton, and Day Funeral Home, Bloomington, are in charge of arrangements.
