Robert Eugene Butts

SOUTH BEND - Robert E. Butts, 60, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2008 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. He was born December 30, 1947 in South Bend to Robert S. and Vivian "Waynette" (Vought) Butts.
Mr. Butts is survived by his father, Robert S. Butts of South Bend, IN; sister, Sherl Squires of South Bend, IN; two nephews and two nieces.
His mother, Waynette and brother, Ross F. Butts preceded him in death.
Mr. Butts was a lifelong area resident. He was a 1972 graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington. Mr. Butts served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a trainer at Affiliated Computer Systems.
A graveside service was held on Friday, November 21, 2008 in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Private visitation was held at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, South Bend. Contributions may be offered to the First Baptist Church, 727 N. Main St., Mishawaka, IN 46545.
