Helen Ethel (Ashley) Bennitt

Mrs. Helen E. Bennitt, 58, of 421 N. William, died at 6:35 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Hospital after an extended illness. Born March 26, 1918, in South Bend, she had lived here all her life. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Etta Ashley Meyer of Cincinnati and two nieces.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Rev. Paul G. Wendel, C.S.C., pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Bennitt was a member of the Altar Society and the Harvest House, both of St. Joseph's Church.
