The funeral for Woodrow L. "Woody" 80, of 47502 84th Ave., Decatur, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Halbritter Funeral in Niles with the Rev. Nolan R. Williams of United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, South Bend, Ind. A Flag presentation will follow committal under the direction of American Legion Commander John McLaughlin.

Archambeault died Sunday at 6:45 a.m. at Lee Hospital, Dowagiac following an extended illness. He was born May 19, 1916 in South Bend. He lived there most of his life. He was a winter resident of Punta Gorda, Fla.

He married Dorothy L. Klute Archambeault on Jun 4, 1982 in Niles. She survives.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in Navy, and was a member of the Legion in South Bend and Punta Gorda. He was also a member of the Moose Dowagic and the Elks Lodge in Punta Gorda and was a former owner and driver of sprint race cars and was still an active spectator.

He was employed by Studebaker for 24 years and retired from White Farm South Bend Implement of South Bend

Survivors besides his wife, include, two daughters, Linda Bauer of Dowagiac and Sue Hennen of Spring, Texas; three sons, Carter Archambeault of San Juan, Puerto Rico and Donald Klute of Baltimore, Md. and Fred Klute of Lexington, Ky.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughers, Adrianne Archambeault, who died in childhood, and Virginia Archambeault, who died on Sept. 30, 1994. Two sisters and a brother also preceded him in death.

Friends and family may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Halbritter Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Foundation
