Harold Dennis Blank

Harold Dennis Blank, 20, of 208 Riley Pl., who has been paralyzed for four years due to injuries suffered in a diving accident, died Sunday in Memorial Hospital.
He was a June graduate of Central High School attaining his diploma by attending classes by means of an intercommunications device hooked up through a telephone connection to Central classes.
The young man suffered a broken neck and spinal injuries July 30, 1955, when he dove into Diamond Lake, Cassopolis, Mich., while visiting near Kamp Kozy. Since that time he has been paralyzed from his waist up.
He was born in Chicago, Nov. 23, 1938, son of Mr. and Mrs. Erich Blank, of the Riley Pl. address. The parents survive as do two brothers, Howard E., Sherman Oaks, Calif., and James W., South Bend, and a grandmother, Mrs. Frieda Koester, Arlington Heights, MI.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Orvis Funeral Home. Services will be conducted there by Rev. H. T. Tetzlaff, pastor of St. Peter's Evangelical and Reformed Church, at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
