Thomas O'Neil Boyd

Thomas O'Neil Boyd lost his life in an auto-truck collision on Sunday, October 26, 1958. He was going to a friend's home to a meeting where he was to help plan a Halloween party, when a truck, which was on the wrong side of the street, collided with the car in which he was a passenger. Tom was born in Chicago on March 16, 1943, and attended Central School in Evergreen Park, Illinois. He came to South Bend two and a half years ago and attended Madison Junior High School. After enrolling at Central, he joined the Audio-Visual Club in which he was a very active member. His hobbies were varied. They included hunting, fishing, and photography, but he liked electronics best of all. One of his many projects was a small car that he built completely himself. A sophomore from home room 310, he made many friends through his wonderful personality. A smile on his face was his "hall pass," and we will miss it very much in the years to come.
