Cecil Lamar Lewis 78, Transition from this life on March 1, 2024 at West Bend Nursing Home. Cecil was born on June 6, 1945 in South Bend, Indiana to the union of Charlie and Octavia Lewis.
Cecil went to Central High School in South Bend, Indiana. After high school he was a laborer at Gary Steel Mill.
Cecil's memory will be cherished by his one son Cecil Gilbert Lewis; two daughters Cecila Lewis and Beverly Perkins. Four living brothers: Paul Lewis of Washington, DC; Thorn Lewis of Houston, Texas; Doug Lewis of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Clyde Lewis of South Bend, Indiana and a host of cousins family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Charlie and Octavia Lewis, Five sisters: Cara Mae Lewis, Bonnie Walker, Wally Butler-Buchanan, Shirily Thompson and Gloria Fleming; one brother Delbert Lewis.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, cards, words of encouragement. Special thanks to but not limited to nieces: Connie Ellis, Kim Lewis, Cheryl Wheeler, nephews: Kenny Johnson, Al Hairston.
