Ledoris "Lee" McNeill, Jr.

March 8, 1948 ~ January 19, 2024 (age 75)

Mr. LeDoris McNeill, Jr. 75, of South Bend departed this life peacefully on Friday January 19, 2024, at his residence in South Bend, IN. Lee started life in Vicksburg, Mississippi, born to LeDoris McNeill, Sr. and Josephine Mallett on March 8,1948.

 Lee attended schools in the South Bend Community School Corp. Perley Elementary, South Bend Central Middle and South Bend Central Senior High School. During his senior year in high school, Lee was employed by the United States Post Office.

 Upon graduation from Central High School in 1967, Lee enlisted in the United States Army.  Lee was a Vietnam War Veteran.

When Lee was Honorably discharged from the Army, he returned to South Bend and began employment with City Pattern & Foundry.  He then worked for Federal Mogul.  He retired from Federal Mogul in 2015.  He spent his retirement helping and assisting neighbors in home and garden projects.

Lee leaves to cherish his memories, Angela McNeill and Lee were married in 1972.  In this union, Andre, Stacey, and Sean were born. In 1997 Lee was remarried to Christine Warren and to this union Miranda McNeill was born.  son, Andre McNeill, of Atlanta, Ga. A daughter, Stacey McNeill (Sean)Madison of Aurora, CO. A son, Sean (Monica) McNeill, Sr. of Granger, IN.  Last but not least, a daughter, Miranda (Jamyl Tyes) McNeill of South Bend, IN One stepson, Brian (Erica)Kelley. Two brothers, Herman McNeill of Vicksburg, MI and Aaron McNeill, of Mishawaka, IN one sister, Debra (Samuel) Turner, of Winder, Ga. 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons and a host of nieces and nephews.
