Paula O'Bannon, 69, passed away on Monday, January 01, 2024 in Memorial Hospital. Paula was born on February 19, 1954 in South Bend to Charles Walton and Glenda Farmer. She was preceded in death by her parents and her 2 month old infant son, Lamar Waddell (Charlie's twin brother).
Left to cherish Paula's Memory are her loving husband of 21 years, Freeman O'Bannon; children, Tomala (Marshall) Allen, Andre Waddell, Charlie (Lisa) Waddell, and bonus son, Scott Cole; step-children, Shenelle' O'Bannon, Hymel O'Bannon, and Jamaria O'Bannon; grandchildren, Jeremiah (Faith Frank) Waddell, Nicholas Waddell, Charmain (Javen) Brown, Meshayla Thorpe, Leah O'Bannon, Lace Hunt, Nathaniel Waddell, Alexis Butler, Gwendolyn Johnson, Jalen Batiste-Waddell, Andre Batiste-Waddell, Alexander Batiste-Waddell, Alisha Waddell, Ashley Waddell, Aleah Waddell; precious great-grandchildren; a sister, Brenda Walton; and cousin, Mary Jo (Paul) Haywood.
Paula attended South Bend Central High School. She enjoyed reading and being outdoors in nature. Paula had a great sense of humor but was still a very strong woman. Paula dedicated her life to her family. Her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren meant everything to her and brought her the absolute most joy.
Private services are being held.
