Steve Lockmondy

Jan. 13, 1923 - July 13, 2003

Steve Lockmondy 80, of Mishawaka, Ind., died at 11:05 a.m. Sunday, July 13, in Memorial Hospital. He was born in Elkhart, Ind., on Jan. 13, 1923, to Steve and Theresa (Buytas) Lockmondy, who preceded him in death. He had formerly worked for Studebaker and retired in 1977 from Lockmondy Brothers Lumber. Steve married the former Ann Walters in Granger, Ind., on Oct. 7, 1972. Ann survives. He graduated from Central High School and served in the Army during World War II.

His interests were watch and clock repair, photography and woodworking. He was a member the National Watch & Clock Collectors where he had formerly served as secretary. He was meticulous in everything he did in life and wanted things to be just right. Steve knew a lot of people and was very well-liked by all.

Following Steve's wishes there will be no visitation or services. Bubb Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Stroke Association, 9707 E. Easter Lane, Englewood, CA 80112.
