Russell L Yost

Oct. 21, 1927 - Dec. 24, 2002

On Oct. 21 , 1927, in South Bend, Ind., the third son of Calvin Sr. and Dorothy (Bottorff) Yost was born. He grew up on Oak Street and graduated from Central High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

On April 22, 1949, he married the love of his life, our mother, Adell (Kukla), who survives. We his children include Lois Sherman (Robert, deceased) of Bronson, Fla., Marilyn Yost and Lori Harris of Winter Park, Fla., David (Linda) of Orlando, Fla., Andrew (Leslie) of Lancaster, Ohio, and Jon of Orlando; grandchildren, Sarah (Troy) McKinney of Bronson, Jodie Lucas of Mishawaka, Ind., Jessica Harris of Winter Park and Andrew Jr. "AJ" and Olivia of Lancaster; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Troy Jr. "TJ" and Thomas of Bronson. Dad was brother to Calvin Jr. (deceased) (Dotty) of South Bend, Ind., Richard (Gladys) of Oviedo, Fla., and to his sister, Betty J. Borton (Robert, deceased) of South Bend.

Our dad was a good and faithful husband, kind and loving father, as well as a 27-year employee of the South Bend Tribune. In 1976 the family moved from South Bend to Orlando, where he lived until his death on Dec. 24 at 2:10 p.m. Dad left this earth to rest in peace.

A memorial service was held on Dec. 30 in Orlando during the Mass at St. Peter and St. Paul Catholic Church.
