Nani Mae "Judy" (Dean) Fisher

February 22, 1948 ~ May 6, 2021 (age 73)

Nani M. Fisher affectionally known to her family as “Judy” 73, of Mishawaka, IN passed away at her home on Thursday May 6, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.  She was born on February 22, 1948 in Holly Springs Mississippi to the union of Ellie and Magnolia Dean.  Nani came to South Bend, IN in 1962 when her parents relocated the family.  She attended Central High School in South Bend.  In December of 1966 Nani married Elmo Cash and they traveled the world while he served in the U.S. Army. She lived in various cities in the United States and other countries.

A few decades later Nani returned to South Bend and worked in manufacturing.  On March 30, 2002 she married Keith Fisher, who proceeded her in death after 12 years of marriage. During the last years of life she was baptized and served Jehovah at the Miami Trails Kingdom Hall.

Those left to celebrate her life and cherish her memory Mother Magnolia Jones, Sisters Bessie Page and Brenda Sanders of South Bend, IN. Brothers John and Ellis Dean of South Bend, IN. Along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her Father Ellie Dean, Step-Father Huephert Jones, Sisters Mary Bradford and Magdalene Dean.

A memorial service for Mrs. Fisher will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
