Richard Allen Walsh of Staunton, VA, born on May 31, 1952, in South Bend, IN, passed away peacefully on April 03, 2023, in his home surrounded by family following a long illness. Rick grew up in South Bend, IN, where he attended Central High School. Rick spent the first half of his career working in Galveston, Texas as a tugboat Captain on the Houston ship channel. He retired from ComZone Inc. in Chicago, IL as a member of IBEW number 134 Union. Rick is survived by his mother, Dorothy; his children, Michelle, (Aaron) Walczewski, Patrick Walsh and Kelly B. (Kenny) Puffenbarger; siblings; Christopher (Nancy) Walsh of Mount Prospect, IL and Kelly Walsh of Arlington Heights, IL; and his grandchildren, Aidan, Avery, Alaina, McKenzie, Alexander, Trinity and Jacobie. Preceded in death by his father, Joseph Alan Walsh; and his brother, Peter A. Walsh. Private services are being held by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
