OLLIE ROBINSON

SOUTH BEND - Mr. Ollie Robinson, age 68, beloved father & grandfather, passed away at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Cardinal Nursing & Rehab Center, So. Bend, IN. Ollie was born January 10, 1945, in Strong, Arkansas, to Ruthell Robinson, and she later married Alonzo Bonds, who raised Ollie, who both preceded him in death.

He was a standout wrestler for South Bend Central High School where he graduated in 1964. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1966 and was honorably discharged.

He united in holy matrimony with Patricia Hairston in 1967 and from that union his only child, Damita, was born.

Ollie moved to Seattle, Washington, in 1969, and lived there six years where he worked for the Boeing Corporation. He worked many years at South Bend Stamping. He attended the Seventh Day Adventist.

Survivors left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Damita Ruth Robinson, and one grandchild, Kayla Kindred, both of South Bend, IN, along with other relatives, many friends and loved ones.

Services for Mr. Ollie Robinson will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Alford's Mortuary, where viewing will also take place one hour prior to services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Alford's Mortuary where messages of condolence may be e-mailed to Alfordsmortuary@att.net, c/o the Robinson family.
