GRANGER - Anne W. Orcutt, 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 22 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Anne was born in South Bend on February 21, 1926 to Ralph and Ruby (Leonard) Witt.

She attended Central High School in South Bend and Northwestern University, earning a degree in Speech Pathology.

Anne lived most of her life in and around Madison, Wisconsin, with a home on Lake Kegonsa. She was a founding member at Folks (Friends of Lake Kegonsa), was passionate about orchids. She was an active member of the local orchid society and tutored candidates for the US Citizenship exam. Anne returned to South Bend in 2009. Professionally she worked as a School Speech Therapist, later becoming a recognized expert in Aphasia and swallowing education for stroke victims. She also owned and operated the Village Inn, a bar and restaurant in Johnson's Creek, Wisconsin.

She is preceded in death by a son, Robert Douglas and survived by three children, Amy Luttrell of Granger, Margaret "Peg" (Read) Orcutt Tuddenham D.O of Cincinnati, OH and John Orcutt of Helenville, WI and six grandchildren.

A Family Internment will be held in Wisconsin at a later date. Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka has been entrusted with handling the final arrangements.
