Roy Lee "Lil-Man" Miller

Dec. 7, 1938 - Oct. 9, 2011 SOUTH BEND - Mr. Roy Lee Miller a.k.a. "Lil-Man", age 72, who resided on South Scott Street, South Bend, Indiana, passed away at 9:30 a.m., on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at his residence following an illness. Roy was born December 7, 1938 in South Bend to the union of Cornish & Mable (Bronner) Miller.

He attended South Bend Central High School.

He united in holy matrimony to Dorothy Haythorne on October 19, 1973 in St. Louis, Missouri. He retired in 1995 from Nordyne in St. Louis, MO; he then moved to Georgia and in 2008 he relocated back to South Bend. He was an Avid Motor Cycle Rider of the Motorcycle Club, "Double Trouble" and "Sin City".

He received training in the United States Army.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Cornish & Mable Miller, one brother, Leroy Miller, five sisters, Mary Johnson, Stormy Hunt, Bertha Foster, Lucille Long and Alice Miller.

Survivors left to cherish "Lil-Man" include his wife, Dorothy J. Miller; three daughters, Roynisha Miller & Ronyelle Haythorne both of Lawrenceville, GA, Valerie Lipsey of South Bend; four sons, Kenneth Miller, Michael Miller, Maurice Miller and Gerald Haythorne all of St. Louis, MO; two grandchildren; four sisters, Connie Smith, Patricia Wafford and Queen (Larry) Allen all of South Bend and Dorothy (Thomas) Daniels of Georgia; two brothers, Elton Gailday of South Bend and Rev. Earl (Lela) Miller of St. Louis, MO, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011 for Mr. Roy L. Miller at Alford's Mortuary. Viewing will take place at the chapel from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted with Alford's Mortuary where messages of condolences may be e-mailed to Alford smortuary@att.net c/o: Miller family.
