ROBERT A. LEE

April 29, 1936 - April 1, 2007
SOUTH BEND - Mr. Robert Arthur Lee, 71, of East Cedar Street, passed away on April 1, 2007, in Cardinal Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, South Bend, Indiana. Robert Lee was born to Charles and Marie Lee on April 29, 1936, in South Bend, Indiana, who both preceded him in death. .

He was a graduate of South Bend Central High School.

He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1956 after serving his country three years. He worked as an insurance agent many years and retired in 2002 from Goodwill Industries. He was a member of the Martin Luther King Senior Citizens Club and a member of Abundant Faith Church.

He was united in holy matrimony to Pearl Swanson on April 13, 2002, in South Bend, Indiana.

Survivors include his loving wife, Pearl Lee of South Bend; a daughter, Tiffany Joy Lee of South Bend; a son, Robert A. Lee Jr. of Arizona; three sisters, Arvilia (Eldridge) Chism and Barbara Hudson, both of South Bend, and Katherine Wilson of Ohio; a brother, Johnny Lee of South Bend; four stepsons, James "Weazeal" (Alicia) Williams, Warren "Wozzie" Williams, Richard "Squeeky" Williams and Reginald "Dankie" Williams, all of South Bend; two stepdaughters, Sonja "Peachie" of Texas and Tonya "Bea" Bannister of Grand Rapids, Michigan; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

One stepson, Larry "Poppy" Williams, preceded him in death.

Memorial services for Mr. Robert Lee will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2007, at Bread of Heaven Ministries, 4255 Huron Street. Bereavement messages may be sent to alfordsmortuary@comcast.net, c/o the Lee family.
