PEGGY M. (PUCKETT) KRUG

June 9, 1926 - Aug. 4, 2007
MISHAWAKA - Peggy M. Krug, 81, of Mishawaka passed away at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, August 4th, in her residence after an illness. Peggy was born on June 9, 1926, in Jasonville, IN, as the daughter of Grover and Maude (Gobel) Puckett.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Betty Belle Brown, Bill Puckett and Bob Puckett.

Peggy grew up in Jasonville, and attended Jasonville High. She moved to South Bend in 1943, and graduated from South Bend Central High School.

While working as a cashier at Kroger's she met Robert W. Krug. Peggy and Robert married on December 6, 1947, in Terre Haute, IN.

Surviving Peggy are her husband of nearly 60 years, Robert W. Krug; a daughter, Martha Eck of Osceola, IN; a son, Robert E. (Terri) Krug of Naperville, IL; six grandchildren, Christine (Andy) Bonneur, Stephen Eck, Miriam Eck, Heather Krug, Nathan Krug and Jason Krug.

Peggy was a loving wife and mother. She was a homemaker until her children moved on; then she was active in ceramics and crafts. Later, she started oil painting, with many of her paintings scattered around the country. Peggy was an active member of Coalbush United Church in Mishawaka devoting her time to many projects.

Friends may call on Tuesday, August 7, from 3 to 7 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, August 8, in Coalbush United Methodist Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. James Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery Osceola.
