GLADYS M. (HEFFNER) KIRCH

SOUTH BEND - Gladys Marie Kirch passed away Sunday in the home of her daughter, Elaine Pedersen, and son-in-law, Paul Pedersen. Gladys grew up in South Bend where she lived most of her 100 years.

She attended Muessel Elementary School and South Bend Central High School.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Kirch, on March 14, 2000.

Her remaining family includes her son: George Kirch, and wife, Karen from Madison, WI; Grandchildren, Scott Kirch and wife, Jen from Milwaukee, WI; great-grandchildren, Tylar and Jeremy Kirch. Also remaining family includes her daughter, Elaine, and son-in-law, Paul Pedersen; grandson, Eric Pedersen, and wife, Michelle from Grafton, WI; and their family, Jake, Ava and Clare; grandson, Robert Pedersen, and wife, Angela from Brooklyn, MI, and their family, Ethan, Katlyn and Anthony; grandson, Marc Pedersen and wife, Tricia from Dallas, GA; grandson, Michael Pedersen and wife, Lisa, and daughter, Grace from Fishers, IN.

Gladys was loved by all who knew her. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for her stories. She enjoyed cooking and sharing her recipes. She left a legacy of love and laughter.

Thanks to all the special medical people that cared for her near the end, especially Dr. Higgs Coulthard and Laura. Thanks to her friends Jeanette, Agnes and Shanessa.

Visitation will be at McGann Hay University Chapel, 2313 Edison Rd. from 10-11 AM on Saturday, November 23rd. Burial at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society. To send condolences to the family or for directions, log on to www.McGannHay.com.
