SOUTH BEND - In dedication to our mom who has passed on in grace, and is now resting in peace. Thank you for the love, strength, beauty, and courage you have given us. You are an important part of harmony of this universe of life. May your soul rest in peace and love. We will miss you in sight, but hear you always. We will never forget your grace, dignity and strength. You were an inspiration to many. Charlotte "Anne" Grayson departed this life on Thursday evening, Nov. 28, on the birthday of her beloved first-born son. She was born Sept. 4, 1929, in South Bend, IN.

She was the only child of the late Oliver and Doye Scott.

She was a graduate of Central High School.

Anne was an avid reader and belonged to several book clubs throughout her life. She was known to read as many as twenty books in a week. She also enjoyed watching sports programs and spending time with her family. Anne was united in marriage to George D. Grayson on June 25, 1947. From this union they were blessed with ten children. She was a devout Catholic, attending St. Joseph Catholic Church for over 50 years.

She was employed by Memorial Hospital for 35 years, where she served as supervisor of environmental affairs. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Those who knew her best will remember her warm smile and passion for life.

Honoring her memory are her children: Paulette King, Geri Manns, Grace Gordon, Elsie K. Williams (Calvin), Lynda Lee and Karin Taylor (Joseph), all of South Bend, Doye LaSane (Renard), and Suellen Donaldson, both of Florissant, MO, and Oliver Grayson of Minnesota. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, an adopted daughter, Francine Walls Forrest, a close friend, Cheryl Hayes, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Doye Scott; her husband, George Grayson; a son, Downey Grayson; and grandson, Charles Roberts.
