SHIRLEY "MARILYN" (NUNN) CENOVA

WAKARUSA - Shirley 'Marilyn' Cenova, the world's best mom and loving wife, left on November 12, 2012, to serve the Lord full-time.

Family members who left before her were Leonard Cenova (husband), Herbert and Myrtle (Trueblood) Nunn (parents), Robert Nunn (brother), Harold Nunn (brother), Lois McNight (sister), Gene (son) and Mike (grandson).

She was born in Salem, Indiana, on April 5, 1926, and moved to South Bend with her parents as a young girl. She attended Central High School and worked at South Bend Towel & Uniform and later at the A&P store downtown.

She married her husband, Leonard, in 1952, and completely devoted herself to the care & love of her family. She was active in the Cub Scouts as a Den Mother for several years, and continually instilled in her three sons her intense compassion for others, her integrity, and her unwavering faith and trust in our Lord.

Still in this world are her sister, Marie Hemmelgarn; her son, Lee, and his wife, Loveda; her daughter-in-law, Nancy (Gene's wife); her son, Greg, and his wife, Judy; 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcome to visit at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower, South Bend, Indiana (corner of Mayflower & Sample). Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, where the funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012. Interment of the body she left behind will be at Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for the Homeless, 813 S. Michigan St., South Bend, IN 46601.
