Beatrice Y. (Yashun) Eder

SOUTH BEND — Beatrice Y. Eder, 72, of St. Paul's Retirement Community, died at 11:04 p.m. Saturday in the nursing home. Mrs. Eder was born June 19, 1920, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On June 20, 1943, in South Bend, she married Samson Eder. He died in 1984.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Eder Sumner of Andover, Mass.; two sons, Charles of South Bend and Robert of Brooklyn, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Ziker of South Bend. She was a member of Temple Beth-El.

Services will be at 4 p.m. today in the chapel of Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery, Mishawaka. Burial will follow. Forest G. Hay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph.
