Lester Henry Kruger Jr.

Lester H. Kruger, Jr. 77, of Farneman St., South Bend, IN, passed away after an illness at 5:40am, on Tuesday, July 7, in Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Kruger retired in 1986 from Healthwin Hospital. He was born on Feb. 7, 1921, in South Bend,IN. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 745 in Clay Township.

On Nov. 1, 1982, in Denver, CO, he married Vivian Gerschoffer who survives. He is also survived by five stepsons, Mark (Kay) Gerschoffer, Neil, Kerry, and David Gerschoffer all of South Bend, and Paul (Kim) Gerschoffer of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara (Bob) Durbin of Little Rock, Ark; and by a brother Norm (Dora) Kruger of South Bend.

Services will be conducted at 10:00am on Saturday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Ave.,SB. Cremation will follow with entombment in the St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00pm on Friday in the funeral home where a Masonic service will be conducted at 7:00pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County or to St. Peter's United Church of God.
