Kevin Thomas Coleman
South Bend - Kevin Thomas Coleman, 71, of South Bend passed into the care of The Lord, Saturday, June 19, 2021, shortly after 11:30 a.m.
Kevin was born February 18, 1950 in South Bend to Dorothy J. Reha and Harold L. Coleman. Surviving him are his seven siblings, sisters: Mo (John) Marnocha of Granger and Sioban (Safa) Saddawi of South Bend, brothers: Mike (Cathy), Sean, Tim (Betsy), Kelly (Claire) and Terry (Kim) Coleman, all of South Bend. Kevin was pre-deceased by his parents, Dottie and Hal, sister-in-law, Kate and nephew, Brian. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews. Among them, Kevin was especially close to Katie "Kris" and Mitchell with whom he lived for awhile. They came to see him as a second Dad.
Kevin was a graduate of South Bend Central High School and worked at Allied Products for many years.
He was a sensitive soul with an affable demeanor and a sharp clever wit which left many with warm memories of hearty, rich and rollicking shared laughter. Kevin was always ready to lend a helping hand to family and friends in times of need. He will be dearly missed.
The family would like to thank Briarcliff for the excellent care they provided Kevin over the last several months, in particular, Lisa and Verdell who treated Kevin as family. St. Joseph Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. A private interment will be held at a later date in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Notre Dame.
