Elizabeth (Crockett) Ray

Elizabeth (Crockett) Ray, 90, of Granger, Ind., and formerly of Troy, Mich., died at 2:29 .p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29, at Memorial Hospital of South Bend, Ind. Elizabeth was born to Charles and Edna Crockett on Jan. 24, 1907, in South Bend.

On Oct. 31, 1936, in Boston, Mass., she married Gordon B. Ray, who preceded her in death in 1979. 

Elizabeth is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Laura Ray of Granger, along with four grandchildren

She was the former vice-president of The South Bend Tribune. Elizabeth graduated from South Bend Central High School and Wheaton College, Norton,. Mass. She was a member of the Wayne State University Faculty Wives Club and the A.A.U.W.

A private family service will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association, 21021 Ventura Blvd., Suite . 321, Woodlawn Hill, CA 91364. Welsheimer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
