Florence (Kline) Stouder. 87, of Defiance, Ohio, formerly of South Bend. Ind.. died after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, Feb. 29, in The Laurels of Defiance Nursing Home. Florence was born on Sept. 24, 1912, in South Bend, to Rudolph and Bertha May (Watson) Kline. who preceded her in death.

On Sept. 30. 1941. in South Bend. she married Eugene R. Stouder, who died on Nov. 9, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her sister. Marguerite Shields on Aug. 24, 1992. She is survived by a daughter. Marilyn (Philip) Eberle of Defiance: a son. Donald (Carol) Stouder of North Royalton, Ohio; a sister, Virginia Belle (Thomas L . Jr.) Hickey of South Bend; a nephew. Robert (Susan) Shields of South Bend; and by two grandchildren. Nicholas and Jennifer Eberle.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. today. March 3. in the Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home, Defiance. with the Rev. Todd Anderson. pas-tor of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Defiance, officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m on Saturday, March 4, at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend. with Rev. Jamie Miller of the Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, South Bend. officiating Friends called from 2 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m on Thursday in the Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 919 N. Michigan Street. Suite 1000. Chicago. IL 60611. The HICKEY Funeral Home. South Bend, is in charge of local arrangements.
