Joseph Blair Eubanks

EUBANKS MT, AIRY - Mr. Joseph Blair Eubanks, 71, 916 Lakeview Drive, died Thursday at N. Surry Hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Eubanks was born in Omaha, Ill. July 2, I913 to Joseph and Stella Han-cock Eubanks. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Eubanks retired July 2, 1982 from WPAQ Radio Station where he was general manager for over 21 years. He had been in the radio business for over 50 years and was a member of the Mt. Airy Lions Club for 20 years holding almost every office in the club and was a past president of the club. .

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nita Carter Eubanks, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. George (Stella) Van Guilder, Virginia Beach, Va ; one son, the Rev. James Eubanks, Holbrook, Mass.; three grandchildren, Christine Duke, Virginia Beach, Va., and Karen and Mark Eubanks, both of Holbrook, Mass.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Paul Ridolfi. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
