Mary R. (Latimer) Nicklas

Mary R. Nicklas, 85, passed away at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born February 13, 1928 to George T. and Ruth Latimer in South Bend, Indiana. She lived in South Bend all her life and was married to Wayne Nicklas, who preceded her death in 2001.

She worked at the Carriage House as a pastry and pie chef until her retirement. 

Mary was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1946.

She has three children, Ronald (Barbara) Nicklas, Jeff (Becky) Nicklas and Diane Nicklas. She has three grandchildren, Dallas Nicklas, Amy Nicklas and Sabrina Wall and one great-grandchild, Teagan. Mary also has one surviving brother, Robert Latimer of Niles Michigan.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on April 8th at Kaniewski Funeral Homes at 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana . Visitation will be held from Noon until 2 pm. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.
