SOUTH BEND - Nina B. Solloway, 94, formerly of North Olive Street, South Bend, died at 7:05 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, in Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on January 28, 1913, in South Bend, to John E. and Edna (Reasor) Solloway.

Nina was preceded in death by her sister, Helen E. Simon, and by two brothers, James E. Solloway and Byron G. Solloway.

Nina retired from the St. Joseph County Public Library. She was a member of DAR Schyler Colfax Chapter #4007, a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, the Tiny Crafters, a Doll House Miniature Club of Benton Harbor, MI, a member of Sew-N-Sew Quilters Club of Westminster Presbyterian Church, was a member of the Live Oak Circle, Live Oak Grove #1 Woodmen of the World for over 50 years, and was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.

Nina graduated in 1931 from South Bend Central High School and in June 1933 she graduated from the South Bend College of Commerce. She also was a graduate of the Thomas Commercial School.

Nina is lovingly remembered by her sister, Susanna Spitler of Elkhart, IN, and by 21 nieces and nephews.

Committal services will be held at 10:00 a.m. today, February 13, 2007, in the chapel of Highland Cemetery. Rev. Michael McKinnies will officiate. Burial will follow in the family plot at the cemetery. Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, is in charge of arrangements.
