He attended Linden Elementary School. He graduated Central High School where he got the nickname "TNT" because he was dynamite on the court. He was the first black athlete to receive a scholarship and play basketball for the University of Notre Dame (1952).

He met, fell in love, and married Myrtle Jackson Shine. Entee was drafted by the Harlem Globetrotters; unfortunately, shortly thereafter, he was drafted into the U.S. Army where he also played basketball. Entee was employed by the City of South Bend for over 30 years. He worked with the Parking Meter Department and retired from the South Bend Water Department. After retiring, he began working at the South Bend Tribune as a security guard. He was a member of the Martin Luther King Senior Men's Club. He was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 1987.

He is survived by his three loving children, Michael Shine (South Bend), Anthony Young (South Bend) and Robin Shine-Davis (Atlanta); nine grandchildren; and 11 nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his two sisters, Callena Seward-Irby and Helen Purchas, and one brother, Clarence Greer, all of South Bend. Entee will live forever in the hearts of everyone who loved him. He touched so many lives.

Visitation will be held in the Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home, 2702 Lincoln Way West, South Bend, IN 46628, on Friday, November 6, 2009, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 1122 East Miner Street, South Bend, IN 46617, by Pastor L.
