BLOOMINGTON, IN - Genevieve Josephine Zielinski, 94, of Bloomington and formerly of South Bend died Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in Bell Trace Health and Living. She was born February 24, 1924 in Bronson, Michigan to Leo Kazmierczak and Barbara Niklas Kazmierczak. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her four children, Mary (Jerry) Tidd, Joyce (Robert) Cassell, Michael (Jan Hook) Zielinski, and Patricia (Robert) Lezotte; eight grandchildren, Jonathan Zielinski, Jeffrey (Alison) Robertson, Patrick (Sabrina) Robertson, Kalina Dalecki, Stefan Dalecki, Ryan (Jennifer) Tidd, David (Emily) Tidd, and Sarah Cassell; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gertrude Ewald; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John J. Zielinski; a brother, Alfred Kazmierczak; and five sisters, Eleanor Lesinski, Adeline Marosz, Louise Piotrowski, Margaret Meagher, and Marie Lochmondy.

Genevieve was a member of Holy Cross Church in South Bend. She was a graduate of South Bend Central High School and had been a secretary at Studebaker Corporation in South Bend.

There will be a private family service at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home.
