ODIS STRONG

DR. ODIS STRONG, of Memphis, passed away January 15, 2008 in Pembroke, FL. Dr. Strong specialized in and practiced physical medicine and rehabilitation. He was a member of Second Congregational United Church of Christ, 764 Walker where he was a long-time treasurer, trustee and Deacon; a graduate of Notre Dame University and Meharry Medical College, member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, lifetime member of the NAACP, a member of the National Medical Association, and the Bluff City Medical Society. Memorial Service will be Friday, January 25 at 6 p.m. at Second Congregation Church of Christ, Walker Ave. Visitation will be Saturday, January 26 from 10-12 p.m. at the church. Funeral will begin at 12 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

He leaves his loving wife, Margaret Ann Hubbard Strong; a daughter, Leslie Maureen Hubbard Strong, MD; three sons, Peter Burghardt DuBois Strong, Cedric Julian Scott Hubbard Strong, MD of Portsmouth New Hampshire and Jason Maximillian Hubbard Strong, MD (Brigitte Ann Semexant Strong MD) three grandchildren, Isabel Ann Strong, Seth Michael Strong and Joseph Gabriel Strong; two brothers, Neal Strong of Parkersburg, WV, Charles Yarbrough of Southbend, IN; a host of others nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
