Dolores J. Thomas Frick
August 27, 1927 - Feb. 19, 2018
SOUTH BEND - Dolores J. Frick, 90 years old, passed away at 10:52 a.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Frick was born on August 27, 1927 in South Bend to the late Stanley and Helen (Uhl) Thomas. She has remained a lifelong resident. On June 13, 1948 in South Bend, Dolores and Clarence L. Frick were united in marriage.
Along with her loving husband of 69 years, Clarence, she is survived by their children, Deanna Culp of South Bend, Ron (Mari) Frick of Port Richey, FL, and Don (Renae) Frick of South Bend; seven grandchildren, Ryan (Sara) Frick, Branden (Amy) Frick, Stacy (Simon) Rodriguez, Kyle Culp, Christina Dewey, Crystal (Bob) Barrett, and Curtis (Shannon) Frick; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marilyn Long of Bremen, IN. Dolores was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Patrick Culp; and sister, Joyce Frick.
Mrs. Frick retired in 1993 after 35 years of employment with Bartholomew Paint Store. She was a member of the Walkerton United Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Frick taught Sunday School and enjoyed traveling. She and Clarence traveled many times to England, Belgium, and other countries abroad. They also enjoyed visiting the islands of Aruba, Trinidad, and Bahamas. She was a graduate of Central High School in South Bend.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Walkerton United Pentecostal Church, 1174 Lake Street, Walkerton, IN. Pastor Arnold Smith will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Dolores J. Frick may be donated to the Walkerton United Pentecostal Church, 1174 Lake Street, Walkerton, IN 46574; or to Heartland Hospice, 230 W. Catalpa Drive,
