Arthur G. Hazinski June 8, 1923 - Nov. 7, 2017 SOUTH BEND - Arthur G. Hazinski, 94, of South Bend, IN, died on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, in Signature Health Care of South Bend. He was born on June 8, 1923, to the late Joseph R. and Martha (Kowalik) Hazinski in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ciesolka. Arthur graduated in 1941 from Central High School in South Bend, IN, and attended the University of Vermont while in the service. Arthur was an U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, where he served as a Second Lieutenant Flight Officer. Arthur worked for 34 years at Peerless Pattern Works in South Bend, IN, before retiring in 1988. On February 20, 1954, he married Ellen Jean Richards in Crown Point, IN. She passed away on February 27, 1998. Arthur is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Hazinski of Canton, OH, Susan Hammond of South Bend, IN; one son, Mathew (Pamela) Hazinski of Mishawaka, IN; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2017, at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN, where a Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday.
