George B. "Barney" Crum
Jul. 29, 1941 – Jun. 30, 2014

MISHAWAKA- George B. "Barney" Crum, 72, of Mishawaka, passed away at 5:40 p.m. Monday June 30, 2014 at his home.

He was born July 29, 1941 in South Bend to the late William N. & Dorotha B. (Tuttle) Crum.

On November 29, 1969 in South Bend he married Kay L. Kristensen. She survives along with four children, Barney (Jamie) Crum of Fishers, IN, Christopher (Brooke) Crum of Noblesville, IN, Robert (Marcy) Crum of Osceola, IN, Emily (Ryan Dauss) Crum of Sebastopol, CA; eight grandchildren, Tanner, Alexander, Lawson, Nathaniel, Aleris, Lillie, Cameron and Bella. Also surviving is a brother, William N. (Sue) Crum IV of South Bend, IN and a sister-in-law, Barbara Crum of Texas. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles T. Crum.

Barney graduated in 1959 from Central High School in South Bend and attended Ferris State in Michigan and Indiana University in South Bend. He was a US Army veteran, a 26 year member of the Osceola Lions Club and a member of the Osceola United Methodist Church. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, woodworking and working in his yard. Barney retired in 2005 from the Dana Corporation where he worked as a sales representative.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Cremation will take place.
