William Ernest Morris, born to Elmer and Lillian Morris, South Bend, Indiana, January 25, 1942, passed away in New Palestine, Indiana, October 25, 2016. He graduated from South Bend Central High School, 1959, attended Indiana University and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Worked at Western Electric and U.S. Naval Avionics/Raytheon. Bill loved sports, scuba diving and his Golden Retrievers. He leaves behind his brother, Eugene E. (Patty) Morris; his nephew, Daniel E. (Kerri) Morris; and his great-nephew, Alan. He also leaves behind his life-long friend, Joan E. Callahan. There will be no services.  Arrangements are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield.
