OSCEOLA - Osceola-Bonnie Lynn Ballenger, 75, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016 in IU Health in Indianapolis,

Bonnie was born on February 6, 1941 in South Bend to the late Burdette N. and Katherine Rosemary (Youngs) Monroe.

On January 14, 1961 in South Bend as the former Bonnie Lynn Monroe, she married Devane J. Ballenger. Surviving are her loving husband, Devane; two children, Devane Ray (Denise) Ballenger of Mishawaka and Dee Dee (Terry) Burke of Granger; four grandchildren, Dara Deanne Ballenger, Devane Joseph “DJ” Ballenger, Callen Burke and Britley Burke and one great grandchild, Teegan Don Ray Underwood.

Bonnie worked as a secretary for Bendix in South Bend and was a hairstylist with Gene Allen Studio in South Bend. She was a graduate of Central High School in South Bend.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 19 from 3 to 6 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka.
