She was born to James LeRoy Scott and Neva (Steele) Scott on March 17, 1935 in South Bend, IN. She was a longtime member of New Life Baptist Church (Osceola, IN) until moving to Tennessee in 2015 and becoming part of Northport Baptist Church in Newport. She loved her pastors and church families. She was loved and respected by people in Indiana, Tennessee, and in Texas, where she and Roy wintered for 17 seasons.
