Central 1947 Lorraine (Mikula) Hadary

SOUTH BEND - Lorraine R. Hadary, 87, passed away, Sunday, June 5, 2016 in Memorial Hospital.

Lorraine was born on May 4, 1929 to the late Anthony and Rosella Mikula. On June 10, 1950, Lorraine married the late Frank J. Hadary. Lorraine was also preceded in death by a sister, Gertrude Schreiner; and brothers, Edward and Stanley Mikula.

Lorraine is survived by children, Frank (Susan) Hadary, Wayne (Judy) Hadary, Tamie (Brian) Miller, and Sharon Hadary; 7 grandchildren, and 7 ½ great-grandchildren.

Lorraine graduated from the former Central High School. She was a very loving, giving and caring lady. She was always there for her husband, children and grandchildren. Whether she was playing games, singing, consoling, advising or just being there to listen. From hand sewn gowns, as a teen, to clothes for her 4 children, she loved to sew and knit. She was an excellent cook (which her husband, Frank, loved to eat) she cooked mostly Hungarian dishes with no recipes, just by memory and taste. She love to sing all the time especially when her children and grandchildren were young. Lorraine and her husband, Frank loved to dance. From teens in Harvest dances and all through their lives especially the Jitter Bug, they were so in sink and smooth, gliding across the floor. She was an avid reader, reading novels, biographies, history and, of course, the newspaper. A very strong, determined and stubborn lady with a heart bigger than she was, is now with her husband, Frank, dancing forever more.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME 824. S. Mayflower Rd is assisting the family.
