MISHAWAKA - Carolyn M. Cary, 96, of Mishawaka, IN, died Wednesday, June 8th, in her home. She was born May 12, 1920, in South Bend, to the late Golda M. (Haring) and Perry L. Crum, and was a lifetime area resident. On April 12, 1946, she married Robert N. Cary, who preceded her in death in 1988. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Linda Cary of South Bend; son, John Cary (Nicolette) of Ypsilanti, MI; three grandchildren, Steven Cary (Jessica), Megan Cary and Jonathan Cary; and two great-grandchildren, Levi and Adalyn Cary.

Mrs. Cary worked many years as a secretary for the South Bend Community School Corporation, the People's Church and Bethel College. She graduated from South Bend Central High School and attended the University of Colorado and the University of Wyoming. She was a charter member of the People's Church and attended First Baptist Church in Mishawaka. Carolyn enjoyed reading and playing the piano for personal enjoyment.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11th, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Rd., with Dr. David Pannabecker of Kalihi Union Church, Honolulu, HI, officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family in the funeral home Friday, June 10th, from 6 until 8 p.m., and one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
