Philip Courtney Masterson
May 26, 1946 - Jan. 22, 2013
Philip C. Masterson, 66, of South Bend, IN passed away at 11:10 a.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Hospice House, South Bend. He was born on May 26, 1946 in South Bend, IN to Philip George and Belle (Harding) Masterson.
Mr. Masterson is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Jean and Randy Chappell of Buchanan, MI; granddaughter, Lydia G. Chappell; nieces & nephews, Chuck (Debby) Stauffer, Jackie (Ed) Banfi, Patrick (Diane) Stauffer, Sherri Stauffer, Judy Adams and Nancy (Matt) Weides; nine great nieces and nephews; eight great great nieces and nephews and brother-in-law, Richard Calloway. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Theda Belle (Masterson) Calloway.
Mr. Masterson graduated in 1967 from Central High School, South Bend. He served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1967-1969. He retired as a material handler at Raco.
A Memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN. Friends may visit from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Burial at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park will take place at a later date.
