Services for Larry Chambliss, 47, of 18118 Crownhill Drive, who died at 7:15 a.m. Friday in Memorial Hospital from an apparent heart attack, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Burlal will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 pm Monday in Alford's Mortuary.
He was a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, where he served on the Usher board, and was a member of the Recreational Committee of the UAW Local 5. He was a former football player for Central High School and played semi-professional football for the Michigan Hawks. He was employed with AM General.
He was born on Nov. 4, 1939, in South Bend and he lived in the area life.
On April 30, 1967, he married Everzine Miller, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter Talisa Chambliss of South Bend; two sons, Eric and Trent of South Bend; a grandchild; five Robert Henry, George, Charles, Richard and Leroy, all of South Bend; and his mother, Chambliss of South Bend
