Apr. 13, 1945 - Aug. 5, 2008

SOUTH BEND - Rosemary Granger's life began on April 13, 1945, in Natchez, Mississippi, when she was born to Louise O'Neal and Willie Lee Granger.

Rosemary moved to South Bend, Indiana, in 1958 where she studied and graduated from Central High School. At an early age she dedicated her life to Christ and was a Mother of St. Paul Bethel Baptist Church serving on the usher board. Rosemary was employed by Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center as a personal assistant in major surgery. As a loyal worker she retired after 30 years of service.

Rosemary enjoyed watching her son and nephew play football. In her leisure time she was fond of playing "Bingo." But she especially loved spending time with her family and quality time with her grandchildren.

Rosemary leaves to cherish her memory one devoted daughter, Tasha Townsend; one special son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Dominique Granger, both of South Bend; six granddaughters, Ashlee, Triniti, Juanita, Destany, Bre'onna and Arey'onna; one grandson, Romello; five exceptional sisters, Helen (Samuel) Morgan of Flint, MI, Maryann O'Neal and Carolyn (David) Williams, both of South Bend, IN, Barbara (Kevin) Harris of Andover, MN, and Sheryl (Richard) Gunn of Granger, IN; seven wonderful brothers, Michael O'Neal of South Bend, Ronald (Geraldine) O'Neal of Radcliff, KY, Charles (Altha) Granger of Ferriday, LA, Willie (Michelle) Granger Jr., Larry Granger, Kalvin (Yvonne) Granger and Thomas (Rhonda) Granger, all of Birmingham, AL; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her mother and father, Louise O'Neal and Willie Lee Granger; stepfather, Edward Lee O'Neal; a grandson, Christian Granger; and a niece, Tina Morgan-Swain.
